Baked potato chips recipe

There is no doubt that potatoes are a very useful product to prepare side dishes that accompany almost any meal, especially fried, because almost everyone likes them. More and more people turn to commercial frozen preferred potatoes, as they save time and you just have to put them in the oven for a few minutes. But I am not very much in favor of pre-cooked products, so seen the good results of this method to make french fries, I have no excuse to prepare them at home.

  • Extra virgin olive oil 35 ml
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • Garlic granulated to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

How to make baked fries

Wash the potatoes well and peel them. Cut lengthwise into elongated pieces, trying to have more or less the same thickness. Fill a bowl with hot water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 220ºC. Drain the potatoes and dry them well. Spread the bottom of a bowl with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of each spice and salt. Put the potatoes in another clean bowl, add the remaining oil, lemon juice and another pinch of spices to taste. Stir well to impregnate with the mixture

Place the potatoes in the greased dish, trying to form a single layer. Cover with foil and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking, about 15-20 minutes, going around the fountain After the first 10 minutes.

When the potatoes begin to take color, remove from the oven, stir well so that they turn around and bake again for 5-10 more minutes, until very golden and crispy.


With what to accompany the baked fries
